Heartbeat Run/Walk

More than 7,000 United Overseas Bank (UOB) employees, their family members and UOB customers raised more than S$1 million for Singapore children’s charities as part of the Bank’s 11th annual Heartbeat Run/Walk in Y2017.

“Keep The Good Going” is the theme for the UOB Heartbeat Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. It embodies the Bank’s long-term commitment to making a difference in the community through programmes focusing on art, children and education.

The money raised at today’s event in Singapore will be donated to underprivileged and special needs children and youth from the Lighthouse School, MINDS Fernvale Gardens School, MINDS Woodlands Garden School and Rainbow Centre – Margaret Drive School.

The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk features a three-kilometre family walk, a five- and 10-kilometre run and a carnival for the extended UOB family. Children from the four beneficiaries, accompanied by their families and UOB employee volunteers, also participated in the three-kilometre family walk and the carnival.

UOB keeps the good going across the region

UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk was held simultaneously in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. In all, more than 14,000 UOB employees, their families and UOB customers took part in the event across the region to raise funds for local beneficiaries.
