Besides our commitment to the Arts, UOB also believes in giving back to the community in which we operate.We do this through the UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk, which is an annual employee volunteerism programme that brings UOB employees and their family members together to raise funds for various local beneficiaries.The UOB Heartbeat Staff Volunteerism Programme aims to raise funds for our named beneficiaries through our employees. The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk was first held in March 2007, where our employees participated in a fun run and walk event. This event also marked the success of our employees’ fundraising efforts to support the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) and Very Special Arts (VSA) Singapore. Following the great success of UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2007, a second one was organised in April 2008. The funds from the Heartbeat Run/Walk were channelled to fund enrichment and tuition classes for the children from CAS, and to support the UOB-VSA Visual Arts Programme.
