Hangzhou is already now one of the major R&D centers for Nokia Siemens Networks worldwide and act major role in Radio Access R&D Globally The Hangzhou R&D Center was established in 2002 to play major role in 3G system development. Since then it has been key development of the 3G and lately also in Wimax. Hangzhou R&D Center is part of Nokia Siemens Network's Global R&D for 2.5G, 3G and Wimax technologies and Software development.
